The buddleia trees in my garden attract the most beautiful butterflies and i wanted to pay homage to the joy they bring me on summer days.

I have shaped the wings and then delicately textured them so they shimmer as they catch the light. In the larger butterflies I have sawn through the metal to push the wings up at different levels to create a fluttering effect.
