Do you have a design or idea in mind for a piece of jewellery? All you need to turn your idea into reality is contact us to discuss options, materials, stones, delivery times and pricing.  Please don't ask us to produce something you have seen elsewhere not only is it illegal but we creative people must protect each other!

The commissioning process

It all starts with an email or phone call.  Although it is great to be able to meet face to face, it is not essential and most of our commission work takes place over the phone and email.  During the first consultation we will discuss the ideas you have, the colours you like, and of course, timescale and budget.

We will then produce a maximum of three sketches from which you choose the final jewellery design.  We ask for a sketch deposit of £40 at this stage to cover our time - this will be deducted from your final bill.   The sketches of jewelleryare based on the ideas discussed in the initial consultation.

At the end of this stage you will have a unique jewellery design that is exactly what you want and within your budget. We will then ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to cover materials, the balance is payable on delivery. Please note all designs remain the property of Jane Webb t/a Silver Tiaras.

If your jewellery involves gemstones, we will source them for you, we may offer you a choice of stone at this stage.  Your jewellery commission will then be made and sent to the London Assay Office for hallmarking.

Commissioned jewellery usually takes about 6-8 weeks from agreed sketches to final delivery, depending upon the complexity of the piece and the time of year.
